Legal Assistant
Kaitlyn graduated from Waldorf University with her bachelors in History and Criminal Justice. Shortly after graduating, she moved to California to pursue her goals of working in the legal community. Upon moving to Sacramento, she started work at a law firm that handled landlord-tenant law. Shortly after, Kaitlyn chose to apply to go to law school part time at the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law while working full time. When the pandemic hit Kaitlyn moved into a more community response role and served as a housing specialist at a local non-profit in downtown Sacramento. While there she found herself continuing to want to find ways to provide actual legal help that would instill change, and found her way to our Family Law Department. Shortly after starting here, Kaitlyn was reminded that doing client centered work was where she wanted to focus her legal career.
Outside of work and school, Kaitlyn is a former college volleyball player that still likes to get down on the sand courts. She also enjoys hiking and snow shoeing, and taking any Peloton class Cody Rigsby teaches.
